Will travelling solo to Bali be a good idea then? Imagine being alone in a sea of honeymooners and love birds making great memories together in such romantic ambiance. To start with, Bali is never a bad idea.. I mean, might as well see where all the island’s fish swim around, no? 😉

Where East meets West, and North meets South

Bali is an island where transience abounds and people from all over the world come and go. It is a hub of tourists, eager for sun lust and – sun love. From Europe to Australia, from Asia to the Middle East, people of different ethnicity and backgrounds come to enjoy themselves on this island. This Bali trip can be a trip of a lifetime – learn a new language, join voluntary activities, and make friends with as many people as you can! Embrace it and bring home with you a big bag of cultural knowledge! If you are curious to as how you can meet people from all over the world, just open up your options and dive in any activities that make your eyes dilate! Of course, you are in a new country, a different environment, and something that you should completely shun doing is closing yourself up while you have an array of opportunities in front of you. Take risks, and just dive in! It’s all about discovery!

Love comes in the most unexpected places..

A bookworm, a yogi, a die-hard surfer, or a forever-young party animal? Whatever type or person it is that you want to attract, it is safe to say that Bali has all kinds of places for you to dive yourself in! Go to the places of your interest, whether it being a meditation retreat, a poetry club, or a sound healing camp (yes, these places do exist in Ubud!) you may bump into the prince charming on a cool vintage bike, or a princess with a glowing sun-kissed face, anytime! But most importantly, you are doing things that make your soul sings – Mr. or Mrs. right is a bonus! 😉

Where can I find it though?

Bali has a few places where you can possibly find your Mr. or Mrs. Right. If you want a general overview on where you could potentially go to capture your eye-candy, here are some travel tips!

Sanur: this place is probably the calmest touristic region of Bali. People that are in Sanur are oftentimes honeymooners or older couples wanting to have a getaway together.  A few of expats like to move down there to build their own business, because Sanur is still quiet far away from the hustle-bustle of other regions in Bali.

Kuta: This region here is where a lot of party-goers go to. You can find people that are always down for a party here! But then again, Kuta as a suburb is bigger than just one long street of night clubs – so it’s definitely worth checking out to give you a “Kuta experience” while in Bali.

Seminyak-Legian: This area is quite versatile. You can find all sorts of people in Seminyak and Legian. From young backpackers to young active adults, businessmen and women, to honeymooners and elders. Seminyak and Legian are where you can find the most active people!

Ubud: Just like the film ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ played by Julia Roberts, you will get a catch of what Ubud is about. As I said above, this place is very unique in its sense. Ubud is usually a magnet for singles. It has this unsurpassed spiritual vibe that roams the air, making us hypnotised to its beauty. Ubud has that natural magical gleam that makes people want to stay -forever. It is as if there was some sort of spiritual link that connects people from all walks of life. It is like a match-maker in a location! People from all over the world come to Ubud for inspiration. This inspiration can be of any sorts, from work, to family and love life. Maybe that’s where you just want to go! 😉

Me, myself, and I

A wise man and woman once said, be in love with yourself before you love anybody else. Why am I not finding it hard to do so 😉 Self love is not selfish, you are simply rewarding yourself for all the hard work you’ve done. Sometimes, you are the King and Queen of yourself, you dictate your world and it’s your life in hands, you want to make the best of it and don’t want anyone limiting your goals. For this, sometimes, you just have to splurge and splurge you will.

A spa day for me, enjoying my time with myself! Remember you are the most important – nobody else can take your place 😉

So, that’s pretty much it. At the end it doesn’t really matter whether or not you are by yourself when traveling Bali, as this beautiful island has everything you need to help you fill in your empty nights. Hope you find this article useful, and have a great trip!
