A Guide for The Ultimate Ubud Expedition

There is more to Ubud than meets the eye. It is popularly known as the artistic bohemian town of Bali. The downtown area, or commonly referred to as Central Ubud, is filled with shops and eateries, where one can wander the streets and unearthing little gems on its nooks and crannies. Getting to Central Ubud from Padma Resort Ubud is a walk in the park, as we provide daily shuttle service that runs every three hours.

However, we have the perfect antidote for those who are looking for an adventure-cum-cultural expedition while staying at Padma Resort Ubud. Scroll through to start planning your great Ubud expedition.

Bali Voyage

This trip is dedicated for those who enjoy a leisurely tour of Ubud and its surroundings. All you need to do is hop into a stylish convertible safari and enjoy the ride. You’ll be accompanied by a personal guide who will share all insider knowledge of all the places you visit.

The five-hour tour will take you around several iconic places in Ubud and beyond. The first stop is the Ulun Danu Batur Temple at Kintamani, 30 minutes away from Padma Resort Ubud.

After learning some ways of the Balinese Hinduism belief and a quick stop at Kintamani to enjoy its beautiful mountainous view, a rendezvous to a coffee plantation follows. Here you can learn and sample a variety of coffee beans that are native to regions across Indonesia, including Bali’s homegrown bean.

The last two stops on the Bali Voyage tour are the most iconic out of them all, they are Tirta Empul Temple at Tampaksiring and Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Visiting the two locations will surely create a true Balinese holiday experience. There will also be a lunch stop, as it is included in the tour.

Purification Journey

If Bali Voyage isn’t enough to satisfy your adventuresome soul, then sign up for our Purification Journey. The six-hour trip will take you to off-the-beaten-path of Ubud and its neighbourhood.

First stop is the Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple, where you will experience Melukat – a sacred cleansing ritual – one of the many important parts of the Balinese way of life. Not only you’ll get to experience bathing in holy waters, but also receives a blessing from the Balinese high priest.

The best part is the lunch done in the temple’s courtyard – included in the program – making it a truly magical dining experience.

Continuing the journey is Tukad Cepung Waterfall, located in the north-east of Bali it’s one of the best-kept secrets of the island. Upon entering the cave-like waterfall, allow yourself to walk barefooted along the shallow river ensconced within the enchanting canyons. On top of that, you may experience drinking fresh spring water that is believed to be holy by the locals.

Yet, be prepared to do a short hike to reach the river and the waterfall, and make sure you’re wearing comfortable walking shoes or sandals.

The journey will end at Kehen Sacred Temple at Bangli, before returning to Padma Resort Ubud.

Now you can explore Ubud and its surroundings at ease with our Bali Voyage and Purification Trip. Which one of our Ubud tour you would like to experience? Let us know in the comment section if there any other places you’d like us to add to the program.
